While the Vail, Colorado area is often thought of as a winter destination, it’s summertime that keeps us here all year round. From Vail to Gypsum, the entire valley is packed with fun events and holiday celebrations during the summer. We rounded up a bunch of our favorite Vail Valley Summer events, including Fourth of July events, to help you plan your Colorado summer.
Vail Valley Events Summer 2022:
Hot Summer Nights is a free concert series taking place every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater.
May 27-29, 2022
The Vail Comedy Festival hosts over 30 comedians for Memorial Day weekend. Headliners include comedies from The Comedy Cellar, Netflix, HBO, CBS, and NBC. This festival is known for having sold-out shows so buy your tickets early.
June 3-5, 2022
The mountain town of Eagle will be hosting an all-ages street festival. Each day will be filled with live music on multiple different stages. This is the perfect party to kick off the summer with 13 bands playing, food booths, and craft venters.
June 7-12, 2022
The GoPro Mountain Games take place in Vail and include adventure sports competitions, concerts, and art displays. The games are perfect for athletes, artists, families, and spectators alike. The 2022 GoPro Mountain Games have already been scheduled for June 7-12.
June 17-18, 2022
Think beer dinners and downhill mountain biking with brewers at the Vail Craft Beer Classic. Colorado is known for its craft breweries, and many of them are sponsors of this unique event.
June 17-19, 2022
Get to know over 60 artists from 22 different states right in Lionshead Village. The Vail Arts Festival is family-friendly and features all genres, from painting and printmaking to sculpture and jewelry.
June 23 – August 4, 2022
Bravo! Vail brings renowned orchestras to Vail during the summer season. Other concerts include the chamber music series, Classically Uncorked, and Bravo! Vail After Dark takes place as well.
June 24-25, 2022
Eagle Flight Days is a fun annual celebration at Eagle Town Park. The event includes a parade, Splash of Color Fun Run, concerts, kid zone, silent disco, and more. Flight Days is a great way to get to know the Eagle community!
July 25-30, 2022
The annual event includes a professional rodeo, concerts, livestock, and exhibits. Rodeo events, which take place at the Eagle County Fairgrounds, include bull riding, barrel racing, bareback riding, team roping, and more.
July 29 – August 9, 2022
The two-week Vail Dance Festival, established in 1989, features some of the world’s foremost performers and ballets. Performances take place at the Vilar Performing Arts Center, Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, and the Avon Performance Pavilion.
Independence Day Events
Start the day with a parade from Golden Peak to Lionshead, then watch the new drone show at Golden Peak around 9:30 p.m.
Enjoy live music starting at 7 p.m. at the outdoor Lundgren Amphitheater Field in Gypsum, with a drone show following at dusk.
