Eagle County reached a new high in August with more than $418M in total dollar volume! This surpasses the old record of $361M, set in 2005. This high volume month had 297 transactions; 11 of which were sales of $5M or more. The highest was a duplex which sold for a total of $57.25M in Vail Village, with one side selling at a PPSF of $4,481.
The mid valley had the most activity outside of Eagle and Gypsum; including Avon with 19 sales, Beaver Creek 16 and Eagle Vail 14. These transactions bring the year to date total for Eagle County to 1,186.
Vacant land also had a busy month with 25 lots being sold at an average sales price of $297,064. Single family homes had an average sales price of $1,984,649 over 136 sales. You can see the complete breakdown on page 6 of the attached report.
New sales continue to remain strong in August with 15 transactions totaling nearly $17M in sales. The highest of these transactions was a home in Mountain Star which sold for $6.235M.
